BGFC Marks Milestone with First ISO Internal Audit Strengthening Quality, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.
BGFC successfully conducted its very first ISO Internal Audit last May 5–7, marking a significant step toward operational excellence and continuous improvement. The three-day activity served as a vital milestone in the organization’s journey toward achieving and maintaining internationally recognized standards.
The internal audit, one of the core requirements of ISO certification, aimed to assess the effectiveness of BGFC’s processes, ensure compliance with established procedures, and identify opportunities for improvement across various departments. Employees and process owners actively participated in the audit sessions, demonstrating teamwork, transparency, and commitment to quality management.
Throughout the audit, auditors carefully reviewed documents, workflows, and operational practices to verify that procedures are aligned with ISO standards and organizational objectives. More than just a compliance activity, the audit became an opportunity for learning, collaboration, and growth within the institution.
The successful completion of the first internal audit reflects BGFC’s dedication to delivering quality service, improving organizational performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. It also highlights the readiness of the institution to embrace continuous improvement as part of its long-term vision.
As BGFC continues its ISO journey, this achievement serves as a reminder that every process, every improvement, and every contribution from employees plays an important role in building a stronger and more efficient organization.
Indeed, the First ISO Internal Audit is not only a requirement fulfilled — it is a milestone worth celebrating.
One Beat, One Bond: Strengthening Connections in the Spirit of Acquaintance
Bucas Grande Foundation College (BGFC) celebrated its annual acquaintance party on September 12 at the Socorro Municipal Gymnasium, embracing the theme "One Beat, One Bond: Strengthening Connections in the Spirit of Acquaintance." The event began at 5 p.m. with students arriving in creative outfits inspired by demon hunters and K-pop aesthetics.
The evening commenced with an invocation by the Arts and Cultural Organization (ACO), followed by opening remarks from Dr. Fel Janika Canta, who highlighted the four types of love: Philia, Storge, Agape, and Eros. Engr. Christopher Tope Dela Peña also addressed the attendees, setting the tone for an evening of unity and camaraderie.
A key part of the event was the induction of newly elected officers from various organizations—the SSC, CTE Department, CBE Department, DIT Department, COC Department, SSLG from Senior High School, The Gazette De Grande campus journalists, GMC Multimedia, and ACO. The Muses and Escorts production, featuring representatives from each department, was a highly anticipated segment where participants showcased their energy and pride.
Atty. Ralna Dyan Florano Dela Peña, President of the School, delivered an inspiring message, explaining that the "demon hunter" theme was chosen to encourage students to confront "demons of corruption, dishonesty, and apathy." She emphasized that education encompasses not only knowledge but also values and integrity, stating, "Just like the huntrix story, we are not powerless," reinforcing the message of empowerment through solidarity.
As the evening progressed, attendees enjoyed presentations and games organized by various departments. The event culminated in awarding winners, recognizing achievements from best muses and escorts to best couple awards in the Demon Hunters theme. The program concluded with closing remarks by Ms. Maylona Palen, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, who ended with "Kamsahamnida," symbolizing global connections fostered through camaraderie. #OneBeatOneBond #BGFC #AcquaintanceParty
